Is Google Street View Taking Its Cameras Indoors

February 8, 2010 · Leave a Comment

Google Street View can take you down almost any street in America, and through just about each major city worldwide. But Street View stops right where its name implies — in the street. That might be changing though, if a source that e-mailed the blog, Search Engine Land, is to be believed. New York City nut and candy shop, Oh Nuts, e-mailed Search Engine Land claiming a representative from Google came in and took pics of the store and its products for a new feature tentatively called Google Store Views. The store... [Read the full story]

Weekly Webcomic Wrapup is snowed in

February 8, 2010 · Leave a Comment

Much like the rest of the nation, Weekly Webcomic Wrapup HQ is currently buried beneath roughly a half-mile of fresh snow. Cell Phone Driving Bans Have No Effect, Study Finds

February 3, 2010 · Leave a Comment

Given all the fuss over the need for laws banning cell phone use while driving, the latest study from the Highway Loss Data Institute will probably be as much of a shocker to you as it has been to experts. Despite the fact that researchers have found speaking on cell phones has the same effect on drivers as alcohol, such laws have apparently had no effect on the number of accidents in New York, Connecticut, California, and D.C. where cell phone driving bans are in effect. While the Highway Loss Data Institute is currently... [Read the full story]
